You Get What You Pay for with Lawyers

After getting over the initial shock of an accident, victims tend to be at a loss on how to go about filing a claim. Often times, they will consult friends or family members who have had some exposure to the process. But if no one has had any experience, they will take the next step of consulting a lawyer about their claim.

With many choices available some accident victims opt to select a lawyer who works in one of the worst buildings located in the seediest place in London because of cost issues. Their reason is that choosing a lawyer who works out of a rat-infested building with no running water and is devoid of heating will charge them the smallest amount possible.

Unfortunately, what these victims don’t realise that you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to lawyers. And when they choose the cheapest lawyer on the block, they end up with the cheapest service there is. Ultimately, this ends up costing victims much, much more than what they bargained for.

This begs the question, “How can victims get the best representation without having to break the bank?” The answer is to hire a No Win No Fee lawyer.

By engaging this type of lawyer, victims are assured that the solicitor who will represent them can be expected to do everything in their power to win. If they do not, then they simply will not get paid.

Free but not Cheap Lawyers

Earning a living is a necessary part of life in this modern world. Without money people will not be able to put food on the table; they will not be able to pay the mortgage on their homes; they will not be able to pay the lease on their cars; and they will not be able to send their kids to good colleges in order to provide them with better futures.

Lawyers, just like everyone else, need to earn a living. And they do this by working on cases, such as those covering insurance claims.

But like everything in life, the amount one normally puts in affects what comes out. In other words, “You get what you pay for.”

So if victims decide to hire a really cheap lawyer, chances are the quality of the service they receive will be cheap as well.

A solution to this problem was found with the enactment of the Conditional Fee Agreement in 1995. With the passing of this law, victims could secure very good legal service without having to break the bank.

By hiring a No Win No Fee lawyer, victims get the best of both worlds. They obtain excellent representation from a competent lawyer at zero cost to them. Not only that, but lawyers who work under this agreement will get their lofty legal fees by collection it from the losing party. This truly provided a win-win situation for everyone.
